Text You Submit for Transliteration

When you use the transliteration tool, the text you enter is sent to our server, converted there, and returned to your browser. This is how the tool works: the conversion uses linguistic dictionaries and Unicode data that run on the server, not in your browser.

When a conversion succeeds, we record only that a conversion happened, which language pair was used, and the date. The text itself is not stored.

When a conversion fails (no result is found), we also store the text you entered, together with the language pair and the date, solely to identify gaps in our language coverage and improve the tool. This stored text is not linked to your identity, is not shared with third parties, and is not used for any other purpose.

Standard web server logs may record the fact that a request was made, as with any website.

Usage Statistics

We keep basic, non-identifying statistics about tool usage (which language pairs are used and how often, and whether a conversion succeeded or failed) to understand how the tool is used and to improve it.

Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, we will use your email address and the information you provide only to reply to your message. We do not add your address to any mailing list.

Cookies

We may use essential cookies or local browser storage (for example, to remember your dark mode preference). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Data Retention

Text stored from failed conversions is kept only as long as needed to review and improve dictionary coverage, and is periodically deleted. Usage statistics are kept in aggregate and are not tied to an individual.
